Brilliant

Truly unique colour style, extremely witty parody that made me even more annoyed about ultimate-shitdown boy's comment in the monthly winner topic. Couldn't be more true, take this months winning movies themselves as proof. Sound fitted well, but choice could have been better.

Amazing stuff.

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

Indeed.
You'd think the fellow with the #1 cartoon on newgrounds wouldnt be so immature and arrogant, but oh well.

Amazing

Wow, I was totally blown away by this! near professional quality 3d models accompanied by fluent animation and perfectly chosen camera angles! all that chrome was beautiful to look at :D

Great little scetch too, for the one joke it had, I was amused quite a lot.
Decent soundtrack choice, though I would think something slightly better could be foung, I thought it was excellent length for a 3d movie in 8mb as well.

One of the best (of the too few)3d pieces I have seen on the site, wonderful job!

orb responds:

Thanks a lot! (so why'd I get a 9? lol jk)

Furries go western

I'm a big Leone fan myself, I think you did a decent job mimicing the style of the opening credits, there were some nice drawings in there too, but filesize could have easily been pushed way down by lowering image quality and optimising sound.

Way too played out for an opening sequence though, and not really worthy of a submit on its own. Refine and try again though and you'll have somethinig decent.

gussiejives responds:

Sound was optimized as far as I could without having the sound completely buggered. Any picture compression would have pretty much ruined them. Believe me, I went through extensive experimentation.

I am surprised you consider it too played out though... as a Leone fan, you must've seen TGTBATU and the opening sequence lasts as long as the song... oh well...

Hey, thanks for the review.

Another funny one!

Another great quality piece of comedy, and how quickly did you make this!? It was only a couple of days ago you were asking if you should make it on BBS. Was it because you had all the leftovers from the first one?

Humour was original and different from majority of cartoons, animation was good and looked as though a fair amount of work went into animation.

The movie could have been shorter, the filesize was annoying, but the movie was worth it overall.

Good work.

El-Cid responds:

Haha, sike! Yeah those posts were just a primer.

Thanks for the feedback.

Very cool

Great looking castle and good camera work! As with all 3d movies though, really short and low quality picture :( Shame it can't be helped for now.

When I heard Tom on radio he seemed optimistic towards an art portal, but wasn't too keen on having a video portal for newgrounds . (Guess because videos that are only a half decent length take about 40 megabytes, and bandwidth would be under huge strain if thousands of those were viewed daily)

I do love 3d stuff and would like to really get into it myself, I can appreciate how much time and painstaking work that castle must haven taken.

Chrispington responds:

thanks buddy!
Video compression is pretty good though, with a good system to help manage the size of submissions i'm sure a video portal could be viable.
Picture this: A variable judgement passing score based on filesize!
That would keep the spam out, and make sure newgrounds' precious bandwidth would only be used on quality video submissions.

A damn good collab

A great collab with some excellent entries. I watched this through the assembly stages and am extremely glad to see it has come together nicely in the end. The highlight entry for me was by conair, some nice perspective work there on the twirling jedi!. A question I have is whats the point of "Choosing your fate"? Did that make any difference to the movie or was it just there to look cool?
Anyway, summing up: An innovative idea brought to life well by some talented and upcoming artists, congratulations.

ConAir responds:

Thanks T-H! I'll admit it has some pretty bad problems at the moment, we should have it fixed up, i made a sweet closing scene and a credits section but the other author kinda messed up with that, o well. The choosing your fate thing was going to have more depth (the lightsabers were supposed to change with choice) but since we were pressed with time, it didnt really work out. Thanks again for all your support!

A very good animation

Really well drawn, the animation was mostly fluent although jerky in some places, but if anything, that just added to the style. A very good flash, well done.

AloneInTheDark responds:

Yeh, try seeing the animation again in low or medium quality. I know some scenes are pretty heavy on the computer and can come across jerky when played on high quality.
